Volunteers Bring Fall-time Joy to Seniors

11/30/21

Thanks to wonderful volunteers from our community, for Halloween our seniors and their beloved pets received Halloween goodies.

We want to thank Chrysta Johnson and Karen Moore for the donation of their time and effort on behalf of bringing joy to our seniors.

Chrysta put together adorable pumpkin magnets for all our seniors who receive meals which was delivered with a pumpkin muffin.

Karen took the time to put together treat bags for all of our seniors cats and dogs and her great-nieces decorated every bag by hand with a fun drawing or colored page.

Without volunteers like Chrysta and Karen, we wouldn’t be able to provide as many fun and thoughtful gifts to our seniors, who appreciate the thought and time so much.

We also want to thank the Gladwin Intermediate School students who wrote letters and colored pictures for our homebound seniors this Thanksgiving, letting them know what they are thankful for.

Community involvement is a huge part of feeling connected, especially during the holiday season.

We are thankful for all of our friends and for living in a community that cares about it’s seniors.

With the holidays here, take a moment to reflect on what you are truly thankful for and remember to tell those you love how you feel.
