CoA Purchases New Vehicle with Local Foundation Grants

SHINY & NEW!

New HDM Driver, Deb with our 2023 Chevy Equinox after a fresh car wash.

You may have seen a new Equinox driving around Gladwin County. Thanks to grants provided by the DeShano Community Foundation and Gladwin County Community Foundation, we were able to purchase another much needed vehicle for our Meals on Wheels program.

Along with this new Chevy Equinox, we have created an additional meal route due to the increase in homebound seniors in need of home delivered meals. With a new route and a new vehicle, comes the need for a few new drivers as well. Say hello to one of our newest drivers, Deb!

We are so grateful to live in a community with great opportunities for funding for our ever growing program, especially in this time of inflation.

Official Press Release:

GLADWIN COMMUNITY SERVICES CORPORATION RECEIVES GRANTS FROM THE GLADWIN COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND THE DESHANO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A MUCH NEEDED VEHICLE FOR THE COUNCIL ON AGING GLADWIN COUNTY SENIOR MEAL DELIVERY PROGRAM.

The DeShano Community Foundation helps local non-profits to better serve our community.

The Gladwin Community Services Corporation along with the Council on Aging Gladwin County would like to thank The Gladwin County Community Foundation, and the Deshano Community Foundation for your financial commitment to our senior program.
